While it’s now clear to most of the people that too many companies have access to their most personal information (which leads to a wide range of activities – from advertising, to spamming and all the way to identity theft), still people give up on their right to protect themselves because they don’t know where to start from, what to do, they lack the knowledge and there are too many solutions for specific use cases which makes the users confused. We are trying to solve the complexity of users to protect their personal data.
How are you solving that problem?
We believe the only way the majority of the people will be able to protect themselves online and their data (vs. experts only) is by providing all the tools they need under the same app (so they will discover things they never knew existed), with a super simple user experience – making it as easy as using Instagram and without changing their online behavior.
We developed in the last 2.5 years the most comprehensive privacy app ever made with lots of tools in it and a lot of thought and work around the user experience and making privacy accessible to everyone.
How has the pandemic impacted your company?
In some ways it helped us because people had to work from home and the number of privacy related issues grew. So, people are more aware now of the growing risks online.
On the other hand, we have also distribution via retail in some places around the world and because less people were outside buying from shops the sales in that channel declined.
Where do you see your company going in 5 years?
The vision of MyPrivacy is to make privacy accessible to everyone, to let the average user better understand and protect himself online without the need to be a tech savvy person or a privacy expert.
What is the next big challenge in information security?
The challenges are here for many years already, we believe that the only change is that people are more aware now, the approach of – give me everything for free and take my data is not the default anymore for a growing number of people and it will grow more and more. Therefore – educating users how to better protect their data without making it a hassle is the challenge we believe should be solved.

We like to partner with distributors/resellers around the world who believe they can take our app and make a large number of customers using it. After all – we want as many people as possible to be able to protect themselves and therefore we’ve built this giant app called MyPrivacy.
